DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR: Peter Krautkramer, a junior at St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy in Kaukauna, has been named a 2024 Distinguished Scholar by Classic Learning Test (CLT). This award is given to students for their outstanding performance on the CLT10, a college preparatory exam and PSAT alternative. The Distinguished Scholar award recognizes students who earned the top CLT10 score at their school as a freshman or sophomore during the 2023-2024 academic year.
Founded in 2015, CLT offers assessments for grades 3-12 and alternatives to exams like the SAT, ACT and PSAT. Its college entrance exam, the CLT, is accepted at over 250 colleges and universities across the United States and abroad.
CLT aligns with the Catholic classical educational mission, curriculum and pedagogy of St. Ignatius, and the school utilizes its assessments for grades 3-12.
St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy, which serves students in grades 9-12, opened in fall 2021 in Kaukauna. It is the only Catholic classical high school in the Fox Valley and is a member of the international Chesterton Schools Network.

ST. NORBERT COLLEGE RANKING: St. Norbert College (SNC) in De Pere has once again risen in the national liberal arts college rankings, securing the 90th spot in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings, its highest ranking to date. Over the past decade, the Catholic Norbertine institution has climbed steadily, advancing from 145th in 2019.
According to SNC, several factors contribute to the college’s overall ranking, including first-year retention rate, graduation rate, peer assessment, faculty resources, student selectivity and financial resources.
SNC also ranked 74th in the Top 100 Best Value Schools.U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best College” rankings are available online at 2025 Best Colleges: Find The Best School For You (usnews.com). In October, SNC will mark its 126th anniversary.
