MILWAUKEE, WI — About 35 women from Oshkosh parishes attended the Women of Christ Conference, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, on November 15, 2025.

Twenty-three of the women rode together on a bus, and the rest carpooled. They were parishioners of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish and St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Oshkosh.

The bus trip was part of a larger initiative by the three parishes to encourage and support the women of the Oshkosh community.

The theme of the event was “Anchored in Hope.” The speakers included Msgr. James Shea, president of the University of Mary; Julianne Stanz, best-selling author from the Diocese of Green Bay; and Archbishop Jeffrey Grob of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

The three parishes have partnered to offer a semi-annual women’s event for the past two years.

The next event will be hosted at Fr. Carr’s Place 2B on Saturday, January 24. Women will have the option to attend a 7 a.m. Mass, followed by breakfast and fellowship, witness talks by women in the community, and time for small-group conversations.

Past events have drawn 80-90 women and have received encouraging feedback.
