Faith That Works Award recipient speaks at monthly Wine and Wisdom event

FREEDOM, WI — Jenn Jensen, a human resources specialist at Oshkosh Corporation, came to the monthly Wine and Wisdom event as one of the featured speakers on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Wine and Wisdom is a monthly Christian women’s event where women gather to spend time in community and listen to a speaker. The events are dedicated to “cultivating authentic friendships,” according to the Wine and Wisdom Facebook page.
At October’s gathering, 128 women attended, and on Monday, 169 women attended.

Carrie Hietpas, an independent practitioner at Rediscover Yourself, who came dressed as Mrs. Claus, was Monday’s first speaker, followed by Jensen, a 2025 Faith That Works Award recipient.
Wine and Wisdom uses a free-will offering to help cover speaker expenses or support a non-profit organization of their choice.
Each gathering takes place on the third Monday of each month, from October through April, at Buzz’s Pub and Grill banquet room, located at W2116 County Rd S, Freedom, WI 54130.
The next event will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Holy Family-St. William Parish hosts fall Vicariate meeting for Council of Catholic Women

WITTENBERG, WI — Fourteen parishes in the southwestern part of the Diocese of Green Bay were invited to attend the Council of Catholic Women (CCW) Fall Vicariate III Southwest Chapter Meeting on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Eight of the 14 invited parishes were represented at the event hosted by Holy Family-St. William Parish in Wittenberg.
Jeanette Wolff, host president, welcomed the group. Vicariate President Suzi Snyder presided over the meeting. Karen Oskey was introduced as president-elect and Sandy Carmody as the new secretary.
There were raffles and a door prize — a sterling silver plaque of the Madonna and Child —, and Fr. Mark Rydell, pastor of the parish, was the main speaker. Fr. Rydell spoke about his journey to the priesthood ahead of the celebration of Holy Mass.
Lunch was served by the women of the Holy Family-St. William Parish CCW chapter.
Calling all relic hunters: World’s first map of relics unveiled by Anthony Di Mauro

SPOKANE, WA — Anthony Di Mauro, founder of The Relic Project, unveiled the world’s first map of relics on the feast of the Veneration of the Holy Relics, November 8, 2025.
Di Mauro follows the example of newly canonized St. Carlo Acutis, who created a website cataloging all the world’s Eucharistic miracles. Di Mauro’s website features the first interactive digital map of relics.
