Felician Village to hold Old Glory Honor Flight information session

MANITOWOC — Area veterans and their families are invited to attend an informational presentation on the Old Glory Honor Flight program  at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, in the Village Hall at Felician Village, 1635 S. 21st St., Manitowoc.

Old Glory Honor Flight is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the mission of “Honoring Our Local Veterans One Mission at a Time.” The organization operates through donations and volunteer support.

Dan Reinke will provide in-depth information on the Old Glory Honor Flight program during the program. 

All Vietnam era and Korean era veterans are encouraged to attend. However, only veterans who served prior to May 7, 1975, are currently eligible for an Old Glory Honor Flight. 

Spouses and family members are also encouraged to attend to learn more about how to be a guardian on an Old Glory Honor Flight.

A free lunch will be provided to all attendees. Interested attendees should RSVP to Tanya at Felician Village at (920) 684-7171, ext. 402 or [email protected].

Felician Village is a nonprofit faith-based organization that welcomes people of all faiths. It has been providing housing and services for seniors of all faiths for more than 135 years. Services include a membership program, rehabilitation, independent living, assisted living and long-term care. 

St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy graduation, baccalaureate Mass scheduled for May 29

KAUKAUNA — St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy will host its baccalaureate Mass and graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025 on Thursday, May 29. 

The Mass will be at 6 p.m. at Holy Cross Church,309 Desnoyer St., with the graduation ceremony and social immediately following in the St. Ignatius/Holy Cross gymnasium,220 Doty St.

The 11 members of the St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy Class of 2025 are Hunter Baeten, Elizabeth Bayer, Ella Eggleston, MaryClaire Geniesse, Felicia Jaure, Hannah Klotz, Malachi Lautenschlager, Terese McKee, Stephen Moore, Veronica Patzner, and Katharine Schoeni.

The public is invited to attend the Mass and ceremony, and the brief social that follows.

St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy opened in the fall of 2021 in Kaukauna. The Class of 2025 is the first graduating class to attend Chesterton Academy all four years. 

As the only Catholic classical high school in the Fox Valley and a member of the international Chesterton Schools Network, St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy offers a rigorous classical curriculum taught through the lens of the Catholic faith. 

The high school was an expansion to the existing St. Ignatius Catholic School — the Fox Valley’s only Catholic classical school — which serves students 3K through grade 8 in Kaukauna.
