MEN’S SPIRITUALITY MORNING: Jesuit Fr. Chris Manahan, provincial assistant for senior Jesuit and pre-Tertians, will present “Go, Set the World on Fire” at the Esto Vir Men’s Spirituality morning, Saturday, May 18, at Fr. HOLY ROSARY SOCIETY MEETING: The Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary, St. Agnes Chapter, invites all to gather at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at St. Agnes Church, 1484 Ninth St., Green Bay. The evening will include the rosary, the Litany of Loreto and a presentation titled “Our Lady of Czestochowa” by Fr. Patrick Beno, confraternity director. NEW ST. NORBERT COLLEGE VP: Valerie Martin Conley has been named vice president/chief academic officer at St. Norbert College. Martin Conley earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s in sociology from University of Virginia. She went on to earn a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from Virginia Tech. Along with her experience as a professor, Martin Conley most recently served in the role of provost and vice president for academic affairs at Idaho State University. In that role, she launched an academic planning process; supported the establishment of a working group on diversity, equity and gender; and supported the development of co-admissions/co-enrollment agreements with local community colleges. As dean of the College of Education at University of Colorado (Colorado Springs), Martin Conley launched new undergraduate degree programs, doubled enrollment, increased faculty diversity and strengthened relationships with local educational institutions. At Ohio University, she served as the director of the Center for Higher Education and later assumed the role of chair for the Department of Counseling and Higher Education. Martin Conley will begin her new duties at St. Norbert College in late June. She replaces Michael Marsden, who held the position for one year on an interim basis.
RONCALLI ATHLETICS DONATION: Roncalli Catholic Schools, Manitowoc, recently received a $2,037 donation to benefit Roncalli athletics. The proceeds are from the 49th Annual TRCC Volleyball Tournament, sponsored by the Roncalli Athletic Association. Tournament directors Rusty Walesh and David Anschutz presented the donation to Nathan Kaderabek, Roncalli Catholic Schools athletic director, and Ashlee Johnston, Roncalli High School varsity volleyball coach. The donated funds will be used to offset the costs of youth sports programs at Roncalli Catholic Schools.

Johnathan Turba will present “Scripture and Divine Revelation,” 12 noon to 1 p.m. and repeated from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Norbertine Center for Spirituality at St. Norbert Abbey, 1016 N. This talk will provide an overview of the church’s teaching on divine revelation and Scripture and provide a variety of resources through which attendees can further deepen their understanding. LITURGICAL MINISTRY TRAINING: All parishioners who serve as extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion are required to take a course offered by the Office of Divine Worship of the Diocese of Green Bay. Workshops focus on training those who already serve as extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion as well as those who wish to begin in this volunteer ministry.

FAMILY CAMP WEEKEND: All ages are welcome to “Family Camp Weekend,” Friday, June 7, to Sunday, June 9, at Camp Tekakwitha, located on Loon Lake in Shawano. The weekend will include boating, swimming, praying, hiking, crafting and overnight camping. Cabins are currently full, but tent or RV camping is still an option. OSHKOSH EUCHARISTIC PROCESSIONS: Eucharistic processions will be held in Oshkosh on the feast of Corpus Christi, Sunday June 2. Processions will leave from each parish for Lourdes Academy. Procession departure times are 2 p.m. from St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 2:20 p.m. from the St. Peter site of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish and 2:40 p.m. from the Sacred Heart site of St. Jude the Apostle Parish. Benediction will begin at 3 p.m. at Lourdes Academy.
