Bishop Ricken celebrates Mass for the 2026 Pueri Cantores youth choral festival
WEST BEND, WI — St. Frances Cabrini Parish hosted this year’s Milwaukee Youth Choral Festival and Mass for mixed voice and treble choirs of students in grades 4-12 on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Bishop David Ricken was the main celebrant at the Mass.
Pueri Cantores, the official student choral organization of the Catholic Church, hosts youth choral festivals around the world. The one hosted at St. Frances Cabrini Parish was one of 18 festivals in the United States this year.

Bishops provide resources and promote faithful citizenship in public policy and elections
MADISON, WI — The Wisconsin Catholic Conference (WCC), the public policy voice of Wisconsin’s bishops, is sharing resources to help Catholics engage as faithful citizens in elections, public policy, and civic life in advance of the 2026 elections.
In a letter to all Wisconsin Catholics, the bishops write: “Every two years, ahead of the elections, we invite you to consider what it means to be a citizen who is faithful to Christ. This year, moved by the election of the first American pope, we wish to highlight Pope Leo XIV’s Address to Members of the Diplomatic Corps Accredited to the Holy See (January 9, 2026). Inspired by St. Augustine’s “City of God,” Pope Leo’s address brings to the fore global issues that are especially relevant to our social and political landscape in the United States.”

Our Lady of Guadalupe is the model of ‘perfect inculturation,’ Pope Leo says
ROME — Pope Leo XIV has pointed to Our Lady of Guadalupe as the model of “perfect inculturation” as Mexico prepares to mark the 500th anniversary of the apparition in 2031 with a jubilee year.
In a February 24 message to the Theological-Pastoral Congress being held in Mexico City, the pope said Our Lady of Guadalupe “manifests God’s way of approaching his people.”
