WALK TO MARY: The 2024 Walk to Mary will be held at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 4. The walk is a 21-mile pilgrimage from the National Shrine of St. Joseph at Old St. Joseph Church on the St. Norbert College campus in De Pere to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion. There are several points along the route to join if you wish to make your pilgrimage shorter. A “Walk with the Children,” a 1.7-mile segment to accommodate children, families and individuals who are challenged to walk longer distances, is a part of the event. The walk kicks off with a prayer service and blessing and concludes with Mass. STORY HOUR: “Kid’s Catholic Story Hour” is offered at 11 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month at Cathedral Book & Gift, 131 S. Madison St., Green Bay. Deacon Conrad Kieltyka will be the guest reader on April 6. A faith lesson/message will follow the reading. The program is designed for children ages 12 and younger, but is open to all.

BREAKFAST SPEAKER SERIES: Tim Bergstrom, president and CEO of Bergstrom Automotive, will present “Win in Today’s Labor Market Through Transparency, Coaching, Culture and Serving Authentically” in the sixth installment of the 25th season of the CEO Breakfast Series at St. Norbert College. The event will be held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Miron Construction headquarters in Neenah. RETREAT FOR THE NEWLY INITIATED: Norbertine Fr. Bradley Vanden Branden and Michael Poradek, Ph.D., will lead a “Weekend Retreat for the Newly Initiated,” Friday, April 19, through Sunday, April 21, at the Norbertine Center for Spirituality at St. Norbert Abbey, 1016 N. Broadway, De Pere. Have you been part of the RCIA (Rite of Catholic Initiation for Adults) process in your parish and initiated into the church this Easter? Join this retreat to reflect on your experience of the Easter Vigil, break open the riches of our shared faith and learn how to participate in the church’s mission as lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. ELIZABETH MINISTRY TRAINING: “Elizabeth Ministry Training and Education Day” will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday, April 13, at St. Patrick Parish, 324 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha. Here you will join members of area churches to learn more about this international movement focused on the dignity of human life and strengthening relationships in order to build up the family and create vibrant communities. LITURGY OF THE HOURS PRESENTATION: Sr. Ann Rehrauer, a Sister of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, Bay Settlement, will present “Introduction to the Liturgy of the Hours,” 12 noon to 1 p.m. and repeated from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at the Norbertine Center for Spirituality at St. Norbert Abbey, 1016 N. Broadway, De Pere. The Liturgy of the Hours has long been a standard of prayer for religious communities, however, it is the prayer of the whole church, including the laity. Join Sr. Ann as she explores the richness of this important Christian prayer. Freewill offerings will be accepted. Registration is optional. FREEDOM COUNTRY FEST: LOCASH, the American country music duo known for “I Love This Life,” “One Big Country Song” and other hits, will headline Freedom Country Fest 2024, Friday, June 7, at the St. Nicholas Church grounds, W2035 Hwy S, Freedom. Opening for the duo will be multi-platinum-selling country group BlackHawk and country artist/songwriter Brady Lee. Gates open at 5 p.m. Advanced purchase tickets are on sale now at freedomcountryfest.com. Reserved seating is $60 and includes a reserved seat, cash bar and VIP porta potties. Pit VIP tickets are $60 and includes standing-room-only pit at center stage, cash bar and VIP porta potties. General admission tickets are $40 each. Tickets are also available at the St. Nicholas Parish office. Several Fox Valley businesses will also have tickets available for purchase starting in May. Tickets may be purchased at the gate the night of the concert for $70 each for reserved seating and pit VIP, if available, and $55 each, general admission. On-site parking is $10. The outdoor music festival is an all-ages event.

CRIBBAGE TOURNAMENT: The Art Van Ess Memorial Cribbage Tournament will be held on Thursday, April 25, at St. Jude Parish, 1420 Division St., Green Bay. The event, sponsored by the St. Jude Booster Club, will start with dinner at 5:15 p.m. followed by cards at 6:30 p.m. The $50 fee per two-person team includes 10 games, 50/50 raffles, food and beverages. WISCONSIN SINGERS AT RONCALLI: Wisconsin Singers, the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s premier Broadway-caliber touring production, will take the stage for its 56th season show “When Opposites Attract” at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, at Roncalli High School, 2000 Mirro Drive, Manitowoc. The new, original 90-minute show features captivating vocals, stunning choreography and the electrifying 10-piece Wisconsin Singers student band. Audiences will hear more than 40 songs in this fast-paced show, including top hits from artists like Tina Turner, Queen, Dolly Parton and Michael Bublé, and numbers from the Broadway musicals “Hamilton,” “Wicked,” “Some Like It Hot” and others. The Wisconsin Singers’ band will also showcase its special blend of jazz, funk and classic rock. FIT SHEPHERDS: All men and boys, ages 12 to 17 with a parent signature, are invited to join Fit Shepherds, a group that completes a demanding 45-minute workout at 7 a.m. Saturdays in the St. Raphael the Archangel Church parking lot, 830 S. Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh.

EGG ROLL SALE: The Hmong Catholic Community of Green Bay is holding an egg roll sale to raise funds for programs, materials and conferences for the congregation. Order pickup is 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at St. Jude Church, 1420 Division St., Green Bay. The cost per dozen (pork or vegetable) is $15. Orders are due by Tuesday, April 2. 40TH ANNUAL AUCTION EVENT: The Roncalli Pierside Auction will celebrate a major milestone — 40 years. The in-person, adults-only event will take place Saturday, April 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Roncalli High School, 2000 Mirro Drive in Manitowoc. Admission is free and is open to the public. The first 200 guests will receive a special giveaway item to mark the occasion. The opportunity to bid on items online will return, but they will not compete with the items that are exclusive to the in-person event. The online portion of the auction will run from 3 p.m. Thursday, April 25, to 3 p.m. Monday, April 29, at https://e.givesmart.com/events/AQQ/. A limited number of sterling silver Roncalli Catholic Schools charms will be available for purchase through the online auction site.

Tickets for the Cash Raffle and the Gravely Riding Lawn Mower Raffle (sponsored by Ariens Company and Rick and Denise Krowiorz) are now on sale.
