LOVE LIFE MEMORIAL: St. John the Evangelist Parish, Green Bay, has established the Katie Friederichs Love Life Memorial. The first annual donation to Love Life Ministry in honor of Friederichs was made in May. Friederichs was a longtime parish member who was very involved in social concerns and instrumental in the development of Love Life Ministry. Friederichs died last year at age 97. Since its inception in 1993, Love Life’s mission has been to support low-income families with essential needs for their babies and toddlers. As the needs grew, an east side location was added in 2004. Friederichs worked with parish leadership to provide storage space in the St. John the Evangelist Church basement for Love Life items. Layettes for Love Life were made at St. John the Evangelist. Friederichs’ daughters, Kathy and Judy, have carried on the tradition of supporting Love Life Ministry.
