WISCONSIN BISHOPS’ STATEMENT: On July 29, the bishops of Wisconsin released a statement in support of Archbishop Jerome Listecki’s petition to intervene at the Wisconsin Supreme Court in Planned Parenthood’s case to find a state constitutional right to abortion.

ST. ANDREW DINNER: High school- and college-age men are invited to a gathering of disciples who are open to the priesthood on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at St. Joseph Chapel on the diocesan campus, 1825 Riverside Drive, Allouez. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Franciscan Courts is seeking caring individuals to assist the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother in a variety of ways. Volunteers must be age 16 or older. RURAL LIFE SCHOLARSHIP: Students going into the agricultural field after high school may apply for a $500 Rural Life Scholarship, sponsored by the Rural Life Committee of the Diocese of Green Bay. Selection is based on passion for agriculture, involvement within their parish and leadership. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2025. GRANTS AVAILABLE: The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF), which is dedicated to serving the people of Marinette County and Menominee County in Michigan, announced that its Fall Grant Cycle will open on Sept. 1. Local nonprofits and community organizations are invited to apply for funding to support their initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Marinette and Menominee counties.

Grants support a wide range of areas including education, health, human services, the environment and the arts.

In addition to the Fall Grant Cycle, MMACF offers a Mini-Grant Program throughout the year. These grants, up to $750, are designed to provide timely support for smaller projects and emerging needs within the community.
