FREEZIN’ 4 REASONS: The St. Joseph St. Vincent de Paul Conference, Marinette, is holding “Freezin’ 4 Reasons,” 3:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Inventure North, 1320 Main St., Marinette. Area youth are invited to help raise funds for homeless families and to assist families to avoid eviction by collecting donations prior to the event. STORY HOUR: “Kid’s Catholic Story Hour” is offered at 11 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month at Cathedral Book & Gift, 131 S. Madison St., Green Bay. Deacon Conrad Kieltyka will be the guest reader on April 6. A faith lesson/message will follow the reading. The program is designed for children ages 12 and younger, but is open to all.

JANSSEN FORUM: Members of the Spiritus Ministries team will speak at the final Janssen Forum of the season, Thursday, April 18, at Mount Tabor Center, 522 Second St., Menasha. The missionaries will share about the impact this year has had on them spiritually. Mass will begin at 11:15 a.m. followed by a light lunch and the presentation. The cost is $10 per person. LITURGY OF THE HOURS PRESENTATION: Sr. Ann Rehrauer, a Sister of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, Bay Settlement, will present “Introduction to the Liturgy of the Hours,” 12 noon to 1 p.m. and repeated from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at the Norbertine Center for Spirituality at St. Norbert Abbey, 1016 N. Broadway, De Pere. The Liturgy of the Hours has long been a standard of prayer for religious communities, however, it is the prayer of the whole church, including the laity. Join Sr. Ann as she explores the richness of this important Christian prayer. Freewill offerings will be accepted. Registration is optional. FELICIAN VILLAGE FUNDRAISER: “Mrs. Roper’s Romp,” a fundraiser to support the pub and patio project at Felician Village, a senior living community in Manitowoc, will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Inn on Maritime Bay, 101 Maritime Drive, Manitowoc. The event will feature a DJ, 50/50 raffles, raffle baskets, Bingo, trivia, specialty cocktails and photo booth. Tickets, $15 in advance and $20 at the door, include appetizers and one drink ticket. MOTHER’S DAY THEME CONCERT: Catholic moms/professional musicians, including several with the Fox Valley Symphony, are offering a “Mother’s Day Concert,” 6 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Holy Cross Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna. The concert, in cooperation with the Kaukauna Catholic Parishes and St. Ignatius Catholic School, will benefit VIDA/pro-life support to honor the Mother’s Day theme and celebrate all generations of moms in the audience. The suggested donation is $15 per person. Child care will be available during the event to allow moms an uninterrupted, relaxing concert experience. 

WALK TO MARY: The 2024 Walk to Mary will be held at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 4. The walk is a 21-mile pilgrimage from the National Shrine of St. Joseph at Old St. Joseph Church on the St. Norbert College campus in De Pere to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion. There are several points along the route to join if you wish to make your pilgrimage shorter. A “Walk with the Children,” a 1.7-mile segment to accommodate children, families and individuals who are challenged to walk longer distances, is part of the event. The walk kicks off with a prayer service and blessing and concludes with Mass. 40TH ANNUAL AUCTION EVENT: The Roncalli Pierside Auction will celebrate a major milestone — 40 years. The in-person, adults-only event will take place Saturday, April 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Roncalli High School, 2000 Mirro Drive in Manitowoc. Admission is free and is open to the public. The first 200 guests will receive a special giveaway item to mark the occasion. The opportunity to bid on items online will return, but they will not compete with the items that are exclusive to the in-person event. The online portion of the auction will run from 3 p.m. Thursday, April 25, to 3 p.m. Monday, April 29, at roncalliauction.givesmart.com. A limited number of sterling silver Roncalli Catholic Schools charms will be available for purchase through the online auction site.

Tickets for the Cash Raffle and the Gravely Riding Lawn Mower Raffle (sponsored by Ariens Company and Rick and Denise Krowiorz) are now on sale. FREEDOM COUNTRY FEST: LOCASH, the American country music duo known for “I Love This Life,” “One Big Country Song” and other hits, will headline Freedom Country Fest 2024, Friday, June 7, at the St. Nicholas Church grounds, W2035 Hwy. S, Freedom. Opening for the duo will be multi-platinum-selling country group BlackHawk and country artist/songwriter Brady Lee. Gates open at 5 p.m. Advanced purchase tickets are on sale now at freedomcountryfest.com. Reserved seating is $60 and includes a reserved seat, cash bar and VIP porta potties. Pit VIP tickets are $60 and includes standing-room-only pit at center stage, cash bar and VIP porta potties. General admission tickets are $40 each. Tickets are also available at the St. Nicholas Parish office. Several Fox Valley businesses will also have tickets available for purchase starting in May. Tickets may be purchased at the gate the night of the concert for $70 each for reserved seating and pit VIP, if available, and $55 each, general admission. On-site parking is $10. The outdoor music festival is an all-ages event.

STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Students, age 15 and older, are invited to apply for year-round volunteer opportunities at Ascension Mercy Hospital, 500 S. Oakwood Road, Oshkosh. Volunteers are needed at the reception desk, information desk and Oakwood desk to greet and help patients find their destination. Duties may also include helping visitors at the registration kiosk and transport of patients in wheelchairs. Weekend and evening opportunities are also available in emergency room reception and the emergency room department. Duties may include collecting patient demographic data for registration, restocking, maintaining a clean waiting room, running errands and cleaning rooms. YOUTH SOCCER: St. Joseph Wildcats Youth Soccer is forming co-ed leagues for the fall. Grades five and six will play on Mondays and Wednesdays. Grades seven and eight will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The home field will be Marquette Park, 1061 Hickory Hill Drive, Green Bay. The season will begin on Sept. 3 and end on Nov. 8. Tournaments will begin the first week of October. All private, public and homeschooled students are welcome to join. The registration fee is $10.
