STORY HOUR: “Kid’s Catholic Story Hour” is offered at 11 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month at Cathedral Book & Gift, 131 S. Madison St., Green Bay. Fr. Adam Bradley, administrator at St. Bernard Parish, Green Bay, will be the guest reader on May 4. A faith lesson/message will follow his reading of “The Seed Who Was Afraid to be Planted” by Anthony DeStefano. The program is designed for children ages 12 and younger, but is open to all.
ON STAGE: St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy will present “Pride & Prejudice” at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26, and at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at in the St. Katharine Drexel gymnasium, St. Mary site, 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna. No tickets are required. The suggested donation is $7 at the door for each production.
MYSTAGOGY PROGRAM: All are welcome to a special explanation of “Mystagogy,” 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Prince of Peace Parish, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay (Bellevue). Mystagogy comes from the Greek word meaning “to lead through the mysteries.” It is a time to explore the spiritual treasures contained in the sacraments and significance for our personal lives of faith. The speaker will be Neil Saindon, director of youth and young adult ministries at the parish.
GRIEF SUPPORT: “Grieving with Great Hope” is a five-week grief support workshop series that offers a prayerful, practical and personal approach for those mourning the loss of a loved one. The series will be held Tuesdays, April 30 through May 28, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Prince of Peace Parish, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay (Bellevue). The registration is $10. CAMP LEGACY DAY: A day of service and community will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Camp Tekakwitha, located on Loon Lake in Shawano. OCONTO FALLS FOOD TRUCK EVENT: Food trucks will sell their specialties from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, in the St. Anthony Parish parking lot, 253 N. Franklin St., Oconto Falls. Beverages will be available for purchase. The event will also include music.
WALK TO MARY: The 2024 Walk to Mary will be held at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 4. The walk is a 21-mile pilgrimage from the National Shrine of St. Joseph at Old St. Joseph Church on the St. Norbert College campus in De Pere to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion. There are several points along the route to join if you wish to make your pilgrimage shorter. A “Walk with the Children,” a 1.7-mile segment to accommodate children, families and individuals who are challenged to walk longer distances, is a part of the event. MEDICATION TAKE-BACK EVENTS: HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, Bellin Health and Aurora BayCare Medical Center are partnering with the Green Bay Police Department for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), to offer Brown County residents safe disposal of expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications.
Area residents will have the opportunity to safely dispose of these medications at three convenient Green Bay locations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27:
· HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, 1726 Shawano Ave. (Emergency Department entrance)
· Bellin Health, 725 S. Webster Ave. (across Webster Avenue from hospital main entrance)
· Aurora BayCare Medical Center, 2485 Greenbrier Rd. (Entrance 2)
Medication Take-Back:
· Prescription and over-the-counter medications accepted.
· Cross out identifying information on the containers.
· No sharps.
Those dropping off medications should remain in their vehicle and a volunteer will come to collect their items.

The program is coordinated by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, which emphasizes, “Unused or expired medicine should never be flushed or poured down the drain.”
FRIENDSHIP WALK: St. Norbert College Best Buddies, a student organization, will hold a Friendship Walk at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 28. Attendees will meet under the St. Norbert College arch off Third Street. This event is free and open to the public. Visitor parking is available at the Ariens Family Welcome Center, 310 College Ave. St. Norbert College Best Buddies aims to establish a campus-wide volunteer movement that creates one-on-one friendships with college-aged people that have intellectual and developmental disabilities from Syble Hopp School in De Pere, helping to promote integrated involvement on and off campus. The walk will take place on St. Norbert College’s campus. There will be outdoor games at the end of the walk. Donations are accepted until Saturday, May 4. BIKE COLLECTION: New and gently used adult bicycles will be collected from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, May 11, in the parking lot of St. John the Baptist School, 2561 Glendale Avenue, Howard. The bikes will be donated to Spokes of Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides for individuals who rely on bicycle transportation. MUSEUM EXHIBIT: The exhibit “History of the Green Bay Diocese 1600-1880” will be on display at the Green Bay Diocesan Museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 13, and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18, during Brown County History Week. The museum is located in the lower level of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. Come see the story of Wisconsin and the impact that the Catholic Church has had on the development of the state. A new exhibit will open on Aug. 1.

COLLEGE COURSES: St. Norbert College has announced the class lineup for its 2024 “Maymester” and summer session. FREEDOM COUNTRY FEST: LOCASH, the American country music duo known for “I Love This Life,” “One Big Country Song” and other hits, will headline Freedom Country Fest 2024, Friday, June 7, at the St. Nicholas Church grounds, W2035 Hwy S, Freedom. Opening for the duo will be multi-platinum-selling country group BlackHawk and country artist/songwriter Brady Lee.
