EASTER SEASON SERIES: “Easter on the Edge” will feature three sessions on three different evenings at three different sites. Easter is the very heart of our faith, but what does it look like in your life? Steve Pable, director of adult discipleship formation for the Neenah/Menasha parishes, will present “Take the Plunge” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at St. Margaret Mary Parish, 620 Division St., Neenah; Fr. Luke Ferris, pastor of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and Holy Cross Parish, both in Kaukauna, will present “Blessed and Broken” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 900 Geiger St., Neenah; and Fr. Michael Lightner, administrator at St. John the Baptist Parish and St. Mary Parish, both in Menasha, will present “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at St. Mary Parish, 528 2nd St., Menasha.

HEADMASTER ANNOUNCEMENT: St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy, Kaukauna, announced Andrew (Drew) Mulloy as the headmaster for the 2024-25 school year, effective July 1, 2024. As headmaster, Mulloy will lead St. Ignatius — the Fox Valley’s only Catholic classical school — as well as specifically oversee the lower school (grades 3K to grade 4).

Mulloy comes to St. Ignatius from the Green Bay Area Catholic Education School System (GRACE), where he currently serves as superintendent. Prior to that, Mr. Mulloy was a principal for six years at St. John the Baptist School in Howard and a teacher at multiple middle school and elementary school grade levels. He also served as interim headmaster of St. John Paul II Classical School in Green Bay earlier this school year. Mulloy also has experience as a faith leader, as a captain of the Troops of St. George, nursing home service leader, Knights of Columbus member and is an active parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. He has also been a speaker at Catholic youth events and a member of several Catholic school boards within the Diocese of Green Bay. 

Mulloy earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, a master’s degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University, formerly in Milwaukee, and an executive certificate from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind.

HONOR ORGAN DONORS: “Rejoice & Remember,” an ecumenical service to honor all organ donors and their families, and to celebrate those who have received these special gifts, will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at St. Gabriel Parish, 900 Geiger St., Neenah. The gathering will include a candle ceremony, speakers, music and a social. Speakers will be Erin Davisson, former anchor at WFRV Local 5 in Green Bay, who is a liver transplant recipient; Dr. Corinne N. Klein, medical director for NEW Infectious Diseases; Dr. William Fletcher, a cardiologist, cancer survivor, and a live and bone marrow transplant recipient; and Jennifer Valentine, a St. Gabriel parishioner and kidney donor. SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS: Registration is open for summer athletic camps offered by St. Mary Catholic Schools, Neenah/Menasha. Camps include tennis, girls’ volleyball and basketball, and boys’ basketball and football. The camps are open to any student from any school. PARISH FUNDRAISER: A rummage sale featuring clothing, household items, toys, books, DVDs, CDs, tools and furniture will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20, at SS. Joseph and Edward Church, W3308 County Road G, Walsh (Porterfield), which is one mile west of Hwy. 180. Food will be available for purchase, including egg salad sandwiches with chips, tuna noodle salad, sloppy joes, hot dogs, desserts, cookies, bars and beverages.

BEREAVEMENT GATHERING: Anyone grieving and needing to connect is invited to “Coffee & Connect,” held at 9 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month at Prince of Peace Parish, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay (Bellevue).. SOUP AND SALAD SUPPER: The Assumption BVM Parish Council of Catholic Women is sponsoring a soup and salad supper, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Assumption BVM Parish, 125 E. State St., Pulaski. The meal will include soup, homemade noodles, salads, desserts and beverages. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12. Tickets are available in the parish office or at the door.

ZEPHYRFEST 2024: St. Mary Catholic Schools, Neenah/Menasha, will hold Zephyrfest 2024 on Saturday, April 27, at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center, 355 W. Lawrence St., Appleton. The event will begin with camaraderie, cocktails, sweepstakes, raffles and a silent auction at 5 p.m. A gourmet dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The evening will also feature entertainment and an exclusive limited live auction. FOOTBALL FUNDRAISER: The St. Joseph Athletic Club will hold a “Booyah and Bake Sale,” 9 a.m. until gone, Sunday, April 28, at St. Joseph Church, 936 Ninth St., Green Bay. Proceeds benefit the St. Joseph Wildcats football team and the St. Joseph parking lot debt.

FAITH SERIES: “God’s Healing Through Music, Story and Art” will be the theme for the final presentation of the 2023-2024 “Investigate Your Faith!” series sponsored by CIA-Faith Mission Operatives, 7 p.m. Monday, April 22, at the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre, 1600 W. Prospect Ave., Appleton. Presenters will be Luke Spehar, singer and songwriter; Bob Kroll, author of the book “The Father Wound;” and Brian Keliher, of “Art for God.” No registration is required. The “Fresh Ink Composition Concert” will showcase original works composed by high school and St. Norbert College students. The concert will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28.

PARISH FUNDRAISER: St. Therese Parish, Stangelville, will hold its 23rd annual “Time and Talent” event, Sunday, April 28, at the Kewaunee Fairgrounds Expo Hall. Doors open at 10 a.m. The bucket raffle drawings will begin at 1 p.m. The event features booyah, other food, a bake sale, silent auction and additional raffles. FATHER/SON DAY AT CAMP: Camp Tekakwitha, located on Loon Lake in Shawano, will host “Father/Son Day,” 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27. The day is open to all ages and will include time for prayer, outdoor adventure and, most importantly, quality time together for fathers and sons. The cost per person is $10 and includes lunch. FUNDRAISER: Quad Fest 2024 will be held on Saturday, April 27, at Riverside Ballroom, 1560 Main St., Green Bay. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. A broasted chicken dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m. The event will also feature entertainment by NEW Dueling Pianos from 6:30 to 10 p.m. There will also be theme baskets, an online auction and raffles.
