Paul’s Pantry has an immediate opening to join our team as a Volunteer & Guest Services Associate. The ideal candidate is an energetic, community-minded and compassionate individual with experience working with volunteers. The successful applicant will not only have the necessary professional skills but will also have a heart for service as well as an infectious, positive attitude. This person will work closely with our dedicated staff and volunteers to prepare the pantry for our daily distribution. Position is full-time, benefit eligible. Duties include:
- Overseeing, directing and leading volunteers
- Assisting with the coordination of community food drives
- Entering volunteer hours and other pantry information into database for monthly reports
- Working with groups and leading tours as needed
- Providing support to volunteers in our interview and check-in process
- Maintaining a positive attitude while working with and serving people in need
Required skills:
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing environment
- Concern for the poor and marginalized
- Computer skills including spreadsheets, databases and email
- Servant-leadership skills
- Decision-making ability
- Interpersonal communication and phone skills
Preferred skills:
- Spanish language skills
- Customer service experience
