Our parish in the Fox Valley is looking for an individual to help support our mission to grow disciples in our parish and mission field. This position is a balance between electronic and in-person interaction with the mission to bring others to Jesus Christ.
Job Summary: This position manages the aspects of the parish that foster growth of disciples within the parish and mission field. Working closely with the pastor/pastoral leader and the Evangelization and Discipleship Coordinator, this position helps bring to fruition the vision and mission of the parish through a variety of media, especially the digital footprint of the parish. This position with also manage and coordinate in-person activities of evangelization and discipleship. This part-time position is 25-30 hours per week and benefits-eligible.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and love for His Church, intentionally living out faith as a disciple, with a mission to bring others to Christ.
  • Strong desire and ability to understand mission and bringing other to Jesus.
  • Ability to interact, collaborate, and listen to a variety of people.
  • Excellent relational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with digital media is necessary.
  • Willingness to adapt to new platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages parish web site.
  • Manages parish social media accounts.
  • Manages and edits parish bulletin.
  • Works with Evangelization and Discipleship Coordinator to coordinate successful Discipleship Nights such as registration, room set-up, compiling in-house study guides, etc.
  • Fosters collaboration with and maintains authentic working relationship with pastor/pastoral leader, staff, and parishioners.
  • Coordinate help for Discipleship Night meals.
  • Develop Canva images as requested.
  • Coordinate help for Connect Events.
  • Develop and manage parish bulletin boards and displays.
  • Leads short-term project of developing and implementing a new parish logo.
  • Manages the development of a new parish pictorial directory.
  • Maintains weekly digital display in narthex.
  • Assists in the general ministry of the parish by performing duties and responsibilities as assigned by the pastor/pastoral leader and cooperating with others on the staff.
