ALLOUEZ — Congratulations to Tony Bird, Jenny and Bill Hawley, Al Huss, Bill Koehne, Larry Loberger and Jenny VandenLangenberg who were honored as the 2024 “Faith That Works” award recipients.

Mass with Bishop David Ricken as the principal celebrant and an awards luncheon were held on Nov. 7 on the Diocese of Green Bay campus.

In his homily, Bishop Ricken described this year’s honorees as a “wonderful gift of people bringing the faith into the workplace.”

He also thanked them for their faith examples.

“Lots of times, examples speak louder than words,” said Bishop Ricken. (The award recipients) are “living the Gospel and reaching out to others. That’s incredible.”

Bishop Ricken also offered a blessing for the award recipients at Mass, which was celebrated in St. Joseph Chapel.

The annual “Faith That Works” awards recognize those who integrate their Catholic faith into their workplaces. On Mission each year requests nominations of candidates to be considered for the honor.

Nominees are required to be currently employed in the 16-county area of the Diocese of Green Bay, be an active parish member and be involved in parish or spiritually-based community programs or organizations.
